Sammie is our five-year-old yellow lab mix. While we are out and about walking, we almost always get questions on what breed she is! Many people think she is a lab puppy or a small lab. William bought her a DNA testing kit a while ago and it said that she was part coon hound and shar-pei as well as lab. (She does have a purple tongue and shares some personality traits of coon hounds!) I am a failed foster parent- I went to Wescott Acres to try out dog ownership by becoming a foster parent and then I just couldn't give Sammie back! I don't regret my decision at all and can't imagine life without her. Having a dog has been a great stress reliever and daily joy in our lives. She has enjoyed the beach in Charleston, but I have a feeling she will love the trails, streams, and wilderness in Wyoming even more. One of her favorite activities here is chasing squirrels so I will keep you updated on what creatures she finds interesting in Jackson!
